It is not possible to act well without first believing well. The credenda of the church determines its agenda. Without due depth in the truth of revelation, the community of faith is exposed to the fallacies of a culture that is increasingly irrational. As Frances Schaeffer said, this is a generation fleeing from reason. The problem lies in the fact that the church without intellectual depth can also begin to flee from reason.

Christianity operates on the premise of truth; without affirming that truth, true faith cannot be articulated. Faith depends on truth, and love is the manifestation of faith.
